20,000 euros for resilient young people – Thank you very much, Lions Club Kettwig-Ruhr!

There are moments when you can feel hearts beating in unison. The check presentation for the LionsOpen convertible drive at the Don Bosco Club in Essen-Borbeck was exactly such a moment.

With its generous donation of 20,000 euros, the Lions Club Kettwig-Ruhr is sending a powerful message of solidarity and humanity. And for us at the freddy fischer foundation, this support feels like a strong tailwind for all the children and young people we have the privilege of supporting.

A drive that moves more than just engines.

What began on August 31, 2025, at the LionsOpen Cabrio Drive—beaming faces, encounters full of warmth, and genuine joy in giving—is now reaching exactly the young people who so desperately need this support. These 20,000 euros are not just a sum of money. They are a promise: We won’t leave you alone.

Box Projects 2026: Secured—and Full of New Energy

Thanks to this donation, our Box Projects in Essen and Moers can continue in 2026. These are places where children and young people feel that they are strong—in body, heart, and mind. Places where they learn to support one another and push their own boundaries.

For many, the boxing project is like a second home. And that is exactly what the Lions are giving them now: security, perspective, and courage.

A community that supports

Our foundation’s founder, Freddy Fischer, summed it up perfectly that evening:

„“This donation is a sign of genuine solidarity. It shows what is possible when people open their hearts and take responsibility for one another.”

From the bottom of our hearts: Thank you!

We say THANK YOU—for your warmth, for your trust, and for choosing to give the gift of a future. Through its support, the Lions Club Kettwig-Ruhr has not only strengthened a project but also fueled our belief that, together, we can truly make a difference.

Sometimes change begins with a ride together in a convertible.

And it always begins with people who believe in one another.
